Saturday Jan. 8

Saturdays we tend to just bum around the house and hang out since 'daddy' is home.

Reading the paper, just like dad. Well, it was just an ad, but soon enough she'll be reading the comics, just like dad. Two peas in a pod. Gotta love 'em!!

Friday Jan. 7

Well, I made it barely a week before getting behind. Friday was kind of a crazy day. Elise woke up at 4:30am and 5:30am, then was up for the rest of the day. If I remember correctly, she still got a nap, but it was just a long day for the both of us. That is how I got behind, I didn't make myself post on Friday, so I put it off each day. Fortunately, I did manage to get some pictures. So I am only half behind.


Elise likes to put her 'friends' in the baby swing that we still have in the basement. So here she is pushing 'baby bear' in the swing.

And this is what happens when you wake up too early. No, she isn't blinking, she is eating with her eyes closed, about to fall asleep. I'm such a bad mom, to use her tiredness as a photo opportunity. :) It was just too cute.

"I do it"

 Elise has been able to unzip her coat for a little while now, but I thought I would take a picture of it. She tries really hard to take her coat off once she unzips it, but she can't get her arms out. I was going to take a picture of her trying to take her coat off, but she was getting too impatient to get it off.

Sorry this is such a messy picture. The caption should read..."Did I make that mess?" and Why are you taking my picture?

"I get it. I get it." And she proceeded to pick up all the Cheerios she had dropped on the floor. She is becoming so helpful.

Elise makes dinner

Well, Elise made something in her 'chicken' (aka: kitchen) this afternoon. I'm not sure what she made, but she decided to give some to baby bear. I did sit bear up so he wouldn't fall over, but she did get the spoon and feed him. It's so cute! nom, nom, nom.







This was just too cute not to photograph. After she fed baby bear she decided to give him a big hug. Awwww

Jumping on a pillow

Yep, that is what she decided to do, jump on a pillow that was on the floor. I'm not really sure why because she has never thought to do that before, but she did. She did eventually fall over, but handled it well and continued playing. I have a sneaking suspicion that I will have to keep an extra eye on her in the days to come. She is too smart for her own good.

My favorite toy

Gotta love that little smirk!  She absolutely loves the Cozy Coupe that she got for Christmas. Right now we have the floor in the car, and she just likes to be pushed around the basement. I bet Bob or I could push her around for a half hour if we let her. (It does get tiring after awhile.) Hopefully when spring comes she will be able to enjoy it outside, but for now it is great in the basement.

19 months

Today  just happens to be Elise's 19 month birthday. Daddy took this picture this morning. Morning hair and pjs included. Not sure why she has her hands like that, but the two of them are just too cute.

Her hair is getting so long! I was even able to get all of it up in a ponytail. It usually doesn't last very long because her hair is still pretty fine, and there are fly-aways everywhere. Plus since she has a little curl to her hair it definitely goes where it wants to and doesn't like being told otherwise.
